Phase II of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme is primarily aimed at small boilers running on wood chip and wood pellet fuel (45kW Binder chip boiler). Our systems use the the Binder PK-series which have a reputation for high efficiency with minimal emissions. Total reliability and user friendly operations make this the perfect choice for public and not for profit buildings.
Prefabricated Plant Rooms
For the majority of projects a prefabricated plant room is the preferred option. It combines a boiler room and fuel store in a single prefabricated room for ease of installation, and eliminates the need for building works to fit the boiler and fuel storage into the existing building.
Bespoke Options
Bespoke systems are also available where space requirements allow them.
The table below summarises the system specifications that are available depending on the requirements of the customer.

The systems can be supplied with or without accumulator tanks. Accumulator tanks are insulated vessels used to store heat energy from the biomass boiler allowing for a more flexible use of the heat energy. If heat use in the building is sporadic and inconstant we recommend an accumulator tank to prevent the boiler powering up from its idle state sporadically when demand requires it. Instead an accumulator tank allows the boiler to heat up for a certain length of time, filling the accumulator tank heat store until it is full, it can then return to its idle mode, and any energy demand is taken from the store.
