Wood Energy Ltd (WEL) is the UK’s leading provider of small and medium scale high efficiency automatic wood-fired boiler systems. WEL is the distributor in the UK for Binder GmbH boiler systems and have to date installed or are currently installing more than 43,000kW of installed boiler capacity across the UK, corresponding to over 100 installations including 15 educational establishments to date.

WEL’s head office is in South West England, with regional offices in Newcastle, South Wales, Sussex and Northern Ireland, with an office in Scotland opening in 2007. WEL currently have a staff of 35 which includes biomass heating design engineers, installers and service and maintenance personnel.

WEL have a business development managers/system design team of 6 with a wide experience of biomass boiler system specification, selection and application. The team have a strong technical background, and develop a project from first enquiry to point of order status, calling upon WEL technical resources as necessary to ensure a fully compliant system on order placement by the client.

WEL have an operations and technical support core team of 10 office and site based engineers with technical, project and contract management skills. The technical installation team have all been factory trained by Binder and have built up considerable experience with wood heating systems, and in particular Binder boilers, over the past 5 years.

This core team is supplemented with contract staff and installation partners strategically located throughout the UK and these additional resources are brought in as and when required for any particular project. The team provides the resource to engineer and deliver the project in all respects from point of order through to practical completion, handover and beyond. The teams are fully mobile and operate throughout the UK.

WEL have fully equipped vans covering the whole of the UK and carry full list of spares and consumable items for all Binder boilers in the UK, offering full technical support.
